DIY Nail Art Inspired By Chanel

Hello Hello Lovelies,

How are you all doing? Have you been keeping you with the beauty trend? Just a few days ago, I saw Popsugar post up a video of a beautiful nail art showcasing Chanel’s new Le Vernis Nail Lacquers. It is a spring inspired with watercolor theme. I fell in love with the design and decided to recreate the look. In the video, the nail art was created with the Chanel collection. But since we are on a budget and don’t think that splurging on nail polishes is necessary, I used OPI Hello Kitty Collection and a Sally Hansen gel top coat. This nail art is very easy to recreate. First I used OPI Infinite Shine 2 in the color The Beige of Reason. This is a gel polish so it was suppose to dry quickly. But as everyone know, once you paint your nails, never touch them and wait for at least 30 second before you paint the next color. I start by making small and short brushing stroke using OPI 5 Apples Tall. Then I do the same thing with the next two color. I went with OPI Look At My Bow and then finish with the OPI My Twin Mimmy, a bright yellow. Once I am done all done, the last thing is to cover it with a top coat. I used the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel.

But in the end, you can use any nail polish brands, I’m sure it will have the same result. The important thing is to use a soft pink or nude as the base color. Then you can start with a coral red, pink, and then yellow/gold. And finish it off with a top coat. This nail art is perfect for the spring and even Valentine. In the video they added hearts to make it perfect for Valentine since it is right around the corner. I didn’t use a base because I didn’t have it on hand but of course you can use it. Next time though, I will have to go buy a base primer. I am trying to start my nail polish collection. I do have to say that nail polish can be quite expensive.

I hope you enjoy watching the video because it definitely inspired me. I love easy tutorial because you don’t need much to recreate the look and if you know me, I am a beginner who can’t do complicated or super detail looks either. This is perfect for those of you who are like me. Simple and beautiful is how I like to look.

Until Next Time
